In the Spreadconnect App Account Settings, under Taxes, you will be asked to choose between Regular Business, Small Business or to enter your VAT ID.
Small Business
You are a small business if you are not VAT registered, and you are not exceeding a given threshold in your country. This threshold only counts the number of sales you have made inside your own country.
Example:
You are based in Austria and have sold for less than 30 000€ for orders in Austria, you will be considered a small business.
However, please remember that this doesn't only count orders from Spreadconnect, but all the orders or products you have sold as your business.
Example:
You are based in Germany and sold for 12,000€ with Spreadconnect, but also 10,000€ worth of your hand-crafted necklaces, you are exceeding the 17,500€ threshold for Germany and will have to consider yourself a regular business.
Please see the list of EU countries below and their definitions on what the threshold is for a small business:
Regular Business
You are a regular business if you are not VAT registered, and you are exceeding the small business threshold of your country.
As soon as you are exceeding your threshold, you are required to change your Tax settings to regular business as soon as possible. If you do not change it and we charge you the wrong VAT rates, this may lead to complications with the VAT authorities.
