  • How do I add Spreadconnect as a production partner on my Etsy listing?

A production partner on Etsy is a third party that helps with the manufacturing process of a product, and Etsy requires sellers to be transparent about using them to maintain trust with buyers. Failing to add a production partner may lead to suspension of your Etsy shop.

Adding Spreadconnect as a production partner to your Etsy listings means that the product will be produced by us. Here’s an easy step-by-step on how to do so:

    1. In Etsy, go to settings and select partners you work with
    2. Click on Add production partner and fill in the following information:
    3. sprd.net AG, Gießerstraße 27, 04229 Leipzig, Germany

After creating your product on Spreadconnect, simply select the listing on Etsy and assign Spreadconnect as the product partner.

It is not mandatory to display the full details of your production partners in your Etsy shop. If you prefer to keep these details hidden, use the toggle as shown below and add “A print shop” in the “Descriptive title” field.

  • How much does it cost to sell on Etsy with Spreadconnect?

Spreadconnect is completely free to use, and there are no fees for you aside from the costs of the product and shipping. However, be sure to keep in mind the fees incurred by Etsy and calculate them into the retail price for your products.

    Setup fee:

    • Etsy has a one-time setup fee of $15USD, which may need to be paid when setting up your Etsy shop.

    Listing fee:

    • There is a $0.20USD for each item that you list on Etsy (note: listings expire after 4 months unless they are set to automatically renew, in which case you will be charged $0.20 again)
    • You can also manually renew a listing and pay the listing fee again.

    Transaction fee:

    • There is also a transaction fee for each sale that you make on Etsy, which is 6.5% of the retail price plus the amount you charge for shipping and gift wrapping.
    • For US sellers, the transaction fee will not apply to sales tax.
    • For non-US sellers the transaction fee will apply to the listing price (which usually includes VAT).

  • How do I select the right shipping profile for a product?

Etsy offers shipping profiles, also referred to delivery profiles for Etsy users outside the US. These profiles allow users to easily apply the same pre-set shipping configurations for different product listings. When creating a new product on Spreadconnect, you will select a shipping profile for it. You have two options:

    • You can create these shipping profiles on Etsy which will then show up in your product detail page for selection.
    • You also have the option of selecting “automatic” shipping profile in your product detail page, which will either create the shipping profile automatically based on the products price range and delivery destination, or choose one of your existing profiles.

If you select the automatic option, the shipping profiles are automatically created based on our shipping calculator (note: For each additional item in the same order there is an additional cost of €0.50/$0.50 per item).

To successfully publish the product, the section “Choose Etsy Product Category” must be filled out.

  • Why is my Etsy product delisted?

When products go out of stock, Etsy recommends deactivating the associated listing. To streamline this process, Spreadconnect automatically deactivates Etsy listings for products marked as 'out of stock.' This ensures your store maintains a professional appearance and avoids potential customer dissatisfaction.

What happens when a product goes out of stock?

    • Product Marked as 'Out of Stock': Spreadconnect identifies products with specific SKUs, colors, or sizes that are temporarily unavailable.
    • Listing Moved to Draft Mode: The corresponding Etsy listing is automatically switched to draft mode.
    • Automatic Reactivation: Once the product is back in stock on Spreadconnect, the listing is reactivated on Etsy without requiring manual intervention.

    Additional Information from Etsy

Listings that are activated and deactivated within a four-month period do not incur additional listing fees. For more details on managing Etsy listings, visit Etsy’s official help article: How to Deactivate a Listing.

    Expected Restock Time

In most cases, out-of-stock products are replenished within a few business days. Spreadconnect ensures the reactivation process is seamless once inventory updates are received.
