• What do I have to do if product configurations change?

A product configuration includes the product itself, the number and size of the print areas, the print types as well as the design and its placement. If one or more parameters of this configuration change, we can no longer print or finish the product as it is. An error message will then appear in your Spreadconnect merchant area showing you which products are affected, which parameters of the product configuration have changed and what you can do to continue selling the product.

    Print areas have changed

Print areas can change when we optimize our printing processes or replace our printers with new, more powerful generations - always with the aim of achieving the best possible print results for your customers. If this happens to one of your already created products, we ask you to check the arrangement of your designs in the affected print areas and correct them if necessary. The adjustments will then be applied to all your integrations. Alternatively, you have the option of deleting the product.

    Product has been deactivated

Products are deactivated if, for example, they are no longer available or no longer meet our quality standards. We will then remove the affected products from our range. If this also affects your products, we will notify you with an error message. If this happens, we will ask you to create an alternative product or remove the affected product configuration from your own range.

    Print type has been deactivated

There are various reasons why print types are deactivated for certain products. Generally, the reason is that the quality of the print results and thus the satisfaction of your customers increases with other print types. We will inform you of the affected products with an error message. Click on ‘Edit product’ and select a different print type under ‘Selected designs’.

  • How do I keep my Spreadconnect products lasting longer?

Proper care is key to maintaining the quality and longevity of your Spreadconnect items. Follow these easy steps to keep your products looking great:

Please note the following care instructions:

care-symbols.png Wash inside out at 30°C
    Do not dry clean
    Do not tumble dry
Do not use bleach or fabric softener
Do not spin or wring out strongly
Iron inside out, at medium heat, and without steam.

    Ironing Tips

    • Always ensure designs are not in contact with each other while ironing.

    • Turn items inside out and handle with care to protect the prints.

    Washing Instructions

Stick to the following temperature guidelines for different print types:

    • Digital, Polyester, and Flex Prints: Use cold water (up to 85°F/30°C) for washing.

Following these instructions will help preserve both the fabric and the design.

    Our Testing Standards

We rigorously test all Spreadconnect products to ensure durability and quality:

    • Washing Tests: Products must maintain their impeccable appearance after at least 10 wash cycles.

    • Printing Trials: New printing techniques undergo extensive trials, including washing, ironing, and wear tests.

By following these care instructions and trusting in our thorough quality checks, you can enjoy your Spreadconnect products for years to come!

  • Why does my product smell like vinegar?

When unpacking a product that was printed with Direct-to-garment (Digital Direct), you might sometimes notice a vinegary smell. Don't worry, this smell is absolutely normal.

It comes from the fixation agent (or pre-treatment) that is used to make sure the print will get into the fabric. Otherwise, the print wouldn't hold on to the product correctly.

To get rid of the smell, simply wash the product following our Care Instructions.

  • Getting Amazon GTIN exemptions

Selling your products on Amazon can sometimes require a GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) exemption. This article explains how to obtain a GTIN exemption as a Spreadconnect merchant, including steps for selling products under the "Spreadconnect" brand or a different brand name.

    What is a GTIN exemption?

A GTIN exemption allows sellers to list products on Amazon without providing standard product identifiers like UPCs (Universal Product Codes). This is particularly useful for private-label products or items that don’t have barcodes.

    Selling Under the "Spreadconnect" Brand

If you plan to sell products under the brand name "Spreadconnect," you can use the provided GTIN exemption letter template.

    • The exemption letter is tailored for products under the "Spreadconnect" brand.

    • This option simplifies the process, as Amazon is more likely to accept the exemption request when using the official brand template.

Download the exemption letter here: GTIN_Exemption_Letter_Spreadconnect.pdf

Key notes about GTIN exemptions on Amazon:

    • The Spreadconnect GTIN exemption letter only works for products listed under the "Spreadconnect" brand.

    • Selling under a different brand requires additional steps, such as registering your brand or obtaining a trademark to obtain a UPC/GTIN exemption.
