• How do I get started with Squarespace?

    Squarespace is a website-building and hosting service that enables you to create an online store. To use Spreadconnect with Squarespace, follow these steps:

    1. Create a Squarespace Account

    • Visit Squarespace and sign up for an account.
    • Choose a plan that supports Squarespace Commerce (required for store functionality).

    2. Sign Up for Spreadconnect

    3. Connect Spreadconnect to Squarespace

    1. Log in to your Spreadconnect Dashboard.
    2. From the left-hand menu, navigate to Connect Integrations.
    3. Locate the Squarespace section and click Connect.

    4. Start Syncing Products 

    Your Squarespace store is now connected to Spreadconnect! You can:

    • Create products in Spreadconnect.
    • Automatically sync them to your Squarespace store page.

     

  • Which Squarespace plan do I need to integrate with Spreadconnect?

    To be able to use Spreadconnect and sell your designed products, you need to have access to Squarespace Commerce. The Commerce service for your website is available with the Commerce plan and higher options. You can find more information here: Squarespace - Pricing

  • How can I add a store page in Squarespace?

    To be able to sync your products from the Spreadconnect app to your website, you first need to add a store page.

     

    To do so, head over to your Squarespace Dashboard and follow the following steps:

    1. On the left-hand-side menu, go to Pages.
    2. Click on Add Page.
    3. Under Collections, select Store.
    4. Select one of the store templates.

    When adding a product to your Squarespace store, you will be able to select which store page you want your product to go to.

     

     

     

     

  • How to configure shipping rates with Squarespace?

    Before setting up shipping rates in your Squarespace store, we recommend reviewing their documentation for a detailed understanding of the process, as well as Spreadconnect's shipping rates.

    How to configure shipping rates in Squarespace

    1. Log in to your Squarespace account.
    2. Open the settings of the specific website you are integrated with.
    3. Click "Selling" in the submenu.
    4. Navigate to the "Shipping" section.

    Flat Rate Shipping

    Flat Rate shipping allows you to set a base price for shipping and add a per-item cost. You can customize these prices to suit your store.

    Here’s an example using Spreadconnect’s shipping prices:

    • Base Shipping Price: $5.00
    • Additional Cost per Item: $2.00

    Alternatively, you can offer discounted or free shipping by adjusting product pricing to absorb the shipping cost.

    Spreadconnect offers multiple shipping options—Standard, Premium, and Express. To implement these in Squarespace, you can create a flat rate for each option and use the following keywords in the option name:

    • Standard for Standard Shipping
    • Premium for Premium Shipping
    • Express for Express Shipping

    This setup ensures your shipping options align with Spreadconnect's delivery methods.

  • How to provide shipping confirmation to your customers?

    Spreadconnect integrates seamlessly with Squarespace to handle shipping notifications. Spreadconnect does not communicate directly with your customers. Instead, once an order is shipped, Spreadconnect notifies Squarespace, which automatically sends the shipping confirmation email to your customer.  Therefore, customer notifications must be configured in Squarespace to ensure your customers receive updates.

    How to edit the shipping confirmation Email

    1. Log in to your Squarespace account.
    2. Open the settings of the specific website you are integrated with.
    3. Click "Customer Notifications" in the submenu.
    4. Navigate to the "Products & Service" section.

    Shipping confirmation for manual orders

    If you place manual orders in the Spreadconnect App, you can find the shipped orders under the Orders section. On the Order Detail Page, you will see a tracking URL (for all tracked orders) that you can share manually with your customers.

    What to keep in mind

    • Spreadconnect does not communicate directly with your customers. All notifications are managed by Squarespace.
    • Ensuring your orders include customer email addresses will allow Squarespace to handle shipping updates more effectively.
    • For tracked orders, the tracking URL ensures your customers can follow their shipment in real time.
  • How do I fix reconnection issues with Squarespace?

    The most likely cause of this issue is that your Squarespace subscription has expired.

    This problem can arise when Automatic Subscription Renewal is disabled within your Squarespace settings.

    To check your Automatic Subscription settings:

    1. Go to your Squarespace dashboard
    2. In the Home menu, click Settings
    3. Click Billing
    4. Under Subscriptions, select the subscription you wish to review
    5. Check if the Renew automatically toggle is switched off

    Once you have confirmed your subscription is active, go to your Spreadconnect Dashboard and click Reconnect to reconnect your Spreadconnect account with your Squarespace store.
